WAX MUSEUM

The 2nd Graders at Settlement were asked to pick a person in history that they could present at a "Wax Museum".  They had about a month or so to work on it.  Drew had 3 people he was interested in reporting on.  1. Robert Purvis 2. Henry Ford 3. Walt Disney.  His teacher assigned him Robert Purvis.  Which is awesome seeing how he is Drew's Great, Great, Great (No too sure how many Greats) Grand Father. After it was over I got a video of his report.  He did such a Great Job! (The first couple of seconds really crack me up!!)

BACK TO....

I noticed its been over a year since I have updated my blog.  I quite because my old lap top was so slow at doing anything.  Now I have a new computer and things are quicker I just haven't got back into the swing of things.  I think I do more on Instagram lately.  Not sure that I will keep this up.  Still on the fence I guess.

We had a busy summer.  Rob spent 6 weeks in Louisiana on a sound project. Girls camp for me.  When Rob got back Sophie and I spent a week back East visiting family and friends in New York and New Jersey.  When we got home we all headed up to Lava Hot Springs for the Hogan Family Reunion.  I had never been there.  I thought the River was the most fun and terrifying.  I was surprised all my kids loved it so much.  I was happy for summer to be over so we could slow down a bit.

Drew is in 2nd Grade/ Mrs. Dobson, Sophie stared Kindergarten 1/2 day Mrs Crane is her teacher.  So its just Phoebe and I together in the mornings.  Phoebe was so sad when she couldn't start school.  She will start preschool next fall and Im good with that.  Its hard to believe all my babies are grown up.  It affords me more freedom which I love.  I will admit I miss some of the baby stuff though.

HERE YOU GO!

I can not believe how long its been since my last post. I was having problems with Blogger; so I just stopped checking on my blogs. Forgot about the blog I had. OOPS! SORRY.

Drew Started Kindergarten. He enjoys it and has started reading which is really great! So that leaves myself, Sophie, and Phoebe at home during the day. The girls are addicted to Netflix and love watching all their favorite shows when they are not fighting over toys.

Sophie loves being the boss and has a wonderful imagination. Phoebe has a big personality she is so funny to watch. Being so young the stuff she comes up with!

We recently got the kids pictures taken at FotoFly again this year. They always do such a great job and its a awesome value. Phoebe was much better at 6 mo. then she was this time at 18 mo.

It was fun this year the kids got so excited in helping with the Christmas Tree. I am usually not one for letting the kids help decorate. Because I want the tree to look just so and be balanced. When they asked to help, there was just no way I could say no. Not to mention that the tree gets re-decorated every day any way. So its OK if there are 6 of the same ornament on the same branch. (That's the little mantra I have to tell myself every time I look at the tree!)
